About

About me

I’m an independent software engineer based in Edinburgh, currently pursuing a Masters in Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. I’m currently building things to aid developer experiences and improve workflows.

What I do

  • Backend development: APIs, infrastructure, and scalable systems
  • Freelance projects: small teams, shipping fast
  • Experimenting with new tech: integrating AI and new tools into my workflows

Tools

Most of my recent work is in Go and Elixir, with Phoenix LiveView being the thing I’m most excited about at the minute. I also reach for TypeScript, Rust, Python, or C depending on the problem.

Day-to-day: PostgreSQL, Docker, Cloudflare, and a lot of Helix. I have enough Kubernetes experience to know when to avoid it.
